Finally got round to emptying my "new" 11lb bottle to fit the WON valve and wondered if anyone could explain this?

US valve that came with the bottle on the left, WON valve on the right:

What the hell is going on with that Dip Tube??

Is it that internal shape all the way up or has the end been damaged? No! I take that back, its too perfect in shape to be damage eh?

I've never taken one of my US valves out. I've only ever used the bottles for storage.
