NITROUS OXIDE ( nos / n2o ) advice forum

Still enjoying my nitrous after god knows how long! still not had any problems ! apart from upsetting cars that think its just a stock 330

Iv got a new job in the pipeline thats going to basically double my income, also my loan on the car is up in November!

so looking to add an ESS TS2 kit to my 330ci + using my nitrous for even more

now before anyone comes along as says just buy an m3 my car is only worth about 2k trade in, the ESS kit (350ish bhp) is 5k. an m3 with mileage close to mine is 10k + so this option works out better plus i LOVE being semi sleeper just now.......350+bhp in a 330 would just upset alot more people.

anyway im just wondering if using my current nitrous kit would be possible/worth it in conjunction with an ESS kit to hopefully get to some extra without having to go stage3 which is about 9k but does include different pistons but from what i can see they are just to lower the compression ratio to run 14psi rather than 8psi on stage2

Just be carefull with the torque, make sure your setup won't take the conrods/ crankshaft over their proven limit. Ignore BHP and concentrate on the torque side of things..

the TS3 kit is 14psi with is is 520nm and 450bhp and there no change of rods etc only pistons. so guessing i should be ok for some extra from the spray if possible ??

It'll work fine together, just take a look at what Perry is doing with his MGB, blower and WON nitrous.

The ess kit has some weird liquid cooled manifold so cant fire the crossfires into the manifold. Would it work putting it in the very short bit of air intake pipe before the blower? Just wondering if it would damage the blower or be better as it cools the intake etc etc

I heard the pistons are good for 400 tops so doesn't leave much room for nitrous and I guess you would need a clutch

Stage 2+ from ess is 380 but an extra 1200. Im hoping for that kinda power with stage 2 (350bhp) but using my current nitrous even if for a small boost.......I still like saying yes I have nitrous! also dont want it to go to waste trying to resell it n loose lots of money on it haha

I have NO Idea about that! Isnt it just to cool the charge if you start to det?

It'll be fine in the entry to the blower and it will help cool the charge and blower.
