Hello all, getting near to the end now on my set-up.
I wanted to ask a question regarding tightening up the 5mm nitrous supply line's nuts, when are they too tight? Would i risk crushing the pipe if i over tighten the nuts? so ineffect i'd end up with 3.5mm ID instead of the required 5mm due to the 5mm olive compressing too much.
The reason i'm asking is that i've got a dodgy 'T' piece that won't seal properly unless the nuts are uber tight.

If you need the max flow through the pipe, it's wise to secure/seal the olive as required (using whatever force is required) and then remove the pipe and open it back up to the original bore, using a suitable size drill or reamer. You can then refit the pipe etc and just a nip should seal it, without causing a further restriction.

Good info. guys, I'll do that.
Would that mean then that I'd have go back through the entire fitted system? I'm afraid that maybe the other pipes may have suffered the same fate? Pulsoid pipes, inlet to pulsoids, nitrous outlet pipes into jets etc.??
Thanks.

I found post on here a while back, first time fit on a virgin 5mm olive and line is finger tight then 1 full turn (6 flats).. Remove the line and check its crimped properly/ you cant spin the olive. After the first fit they only take 1 or 2 flats to snug up.

Yes if you NEED the full flow of the pipes it is best to carry out that procedure to all of the connections.

I was surprised quite how much the drill removed after I had fitted my system a while ago doing just the 6 flats method deffo worth doing while your fitting it all and I found putting a very small amount of grease on the threads helped to get even pressure
