Hello all, nearly ready to pull the trigger with my setup now!. I've got a 100 Nitrous jet and 50 fuel in at the moment.

How will the turbos react when the nitrous is pumped in?, at the moment they need 4000 rpm to make 15psi, hopefully this can be brought down a bit with the nitrous.

By 5500 rpm I'm at 28psi boost pressure which is max I've tuned for without nitrous, I run a blocking type manual boost controller so hopefully it will not overboost when on the gas?.

Whats best way forward to increasing the power from my engine, drop turbo boost pressure and add nitrous or leave turbo pressure where it is and add nitrous on top?.

I know I should just get out and try it but I like to be 100% sure first..

Impossibly to say as it depends on numerous factors but with the appropriate amount of nitrous it can result in INSTANT boost.

It will certainly be reduced but can't predict by how much and how much will be needed to spool it up instantly.

There is usually an overboost spike unless you use a boost pressure cutout switch to shut the nitrous off at a lower level; http://www.noswizard.com/nitrous-contro ... witch.html

You'd get quicker ET's by reducing boost, even on the same nitrous levels.

Better better to be forewarned. ;)

Thanks for the quick reply!, I might be best winding the boost down a bit then before hitting the gas.

Instant spool sounds nice!, I'd set myself a 100hp shot limit with the Nitrous but can see I'll be getting carried away!.

It's fine to get carried away (as most people do), as long as you don't go over the engines safe limit and unfortunately it's impossible to know where that is until its too late.

the safe limit is the step before the step too far.

this work for everything.

i.e. i just do one last dirt jump (that's the one you get injured on) i'll just do one more flying lap, (where you crash)

luckily knowing this fact it is easy to stay safe. you'll hear yourself say, "i'll just try those bigger jets" at that point, put tools away and go inside. leave things as they are.

Good advice!, it's easy to be greedy. I'll get mixtures right and increase to 100 shot do a days racing and see how I get on.. If I can get 8 runs out of 1 bottle it would be a bonus.
