In recognition of the UNIQUE safety features offered in our systems and our UNRIVALLED reputation for the safe use of nitrous, Greenlight Insurance have decided to cease offering cover to ALL other nitrous brands and ONLY offer cover to WON customers.
They also assured me that their premiums will be competitive, so it should be a win - win situation.

Applications should be made on line at;
http://www.greenlightinsurance.co.uk/
MAKE SURE YOU STATE THAT IT'S A WON SYSTEM!!!

If anyone has any problems obtaining cover please let me know and I'll look in to it for you.
We also still in discussions with other insurers, so if we can get an even better deal for our customers, then we'll push for that and I'll be back with updates as and when available.

Top work Trevor

One of the reasons for me not investing more in my system (although I haven't done too bad so far...lol) is due to the insurance companies available at the moment. The fact that more companies along with the present ones are recognising the quality/reliability of your systems alone along with recognising the type of customers who use them will hopefully mean we can all continue to enjoy it for longer without being penalised so heavily for the pleasure.

Adrian Flux, but again you MUST say its a Wizards of NOS system as we have an agreement with them.
Make sure the person you talk to understands, as there are many there that need to get their facts straight.

Hi :)

I just renewed mine with Adrian Flux... declared all my upgrades (racing seat, wheels etc etc ) plus my WON Nitrous system (they didnt ask how many hp either lol)

Got a decent price including business insurance of around £550 ..but dont forget I am ancient lol :)

If I get a choice I would rather buy it direct from WON next year if thats possible...

All the best Brett :)

Just missed a return call from Swinton and they're also willing to offer cover now, so I'll be calling them back shortly to see what they can offer.

What a turn around from when I first started with nitrous some 35 years ago!!!! Back then nitrous use on road cars was THOUGHT to be illegal and NOBODY would even consider offering insurance cover OF ANY KIND for either on or off road use.

Thanks to have a number of Police officers as early customers, I bribed them to look in to the ACTUAL law that ALLEGEDLY made nitrous oxide illegal and it turned out that there WASN'T one. It then transpired that the ONLY thing that made nitrous use on a road car illegal was IF it wasn't disclosed to the insurers and IF they hadn't provided cover with that taken in to account.

Armed with that information, we set about contacting as many 'modified car insurers' as we could and eventually succeeded in persuading Flux to provide cover and now we're overrun with companies willing to provide cover.

Weird how more are suddenly jumping to get on the band wagon.

I'm much happier to now know I have options for insurance rather than being possibly held ransom.

Again, top work Trevor ;)

Whilst I'm responsible for initiating the effort to generate the latest burst of interest from the insurers (and some of the results), we have to give Vivienne (Richards BMW840s partner) credit for acting on my initiative and doing an excellent job of presenting our case to the other companies.

No way, thats BS neil.
I find my bench mark for the car is £1 for every extra HP (I went from £500 to £800), but like I say, I don't know about bikes.

Adrian Flux have lost the plot since they had to change their main underwriter for nitrous.

I used to have a Kawasaki ZX12R insured for nitrous (no power limit), and a whole page of other mods - it cost about £190 a year, and the renewal came through with the old company but I missed the renewal date by a week.

I went to them to try to take up the old policy with the insurer I'd been with for a couple of years, but because I'd gone past the renewal date without accepting, they "had to treat it as a new quote", which meant the previous company (whose renewal was £190) would not quote me, and the next best was about £500.

Thankfully now I just have vehicles listed by registration on a motor trade policy and they don't ask about mods :)

Sky insurance all mods...£671
Swinton... can't
MCE insurance... can't
AA motorcycle... (called 15 underwriters) no can do
NetPig... £671
BikeSure... £455
Footman James... declined immediately.

but a good tip is to call "call connections" these guys do all the leg work and bring up insurers that may be able to quote. then they transfer you and call you back to see how you got on, then recommend the next one etc.

reading between the lines i reckon that there are only 2 underwriters that to motorbike N2O.

turns out that Adran Flux and BikeSure are the one and the same and all the others have now heard that i'm phoning around and quoting £671

1 hour on the phone and at least i now know i've got the best quote.

I tried greenlight for a quote on the projekt car useing its final configuration of 4.2Ltr V8 with TBs and WON system producing 600Bhp and they declined to quote stating that I needed at least 2 years NCD on the model. I pointed out I have the same model as my roadcar with 360bhp and it was suggested that if I moved my insurance to them they could mirror my full NCD onto the prokekt. Sounds good. Awaaiting the quote for the road car. Wonder if it will be near Bell's £380 fully comp...............

Dragging up a cold thread here as my insurance is due in just over a month.

Not looking good.....

Don't know if Trev managed to talk to Swinton but noticed they now have Nitrous Oxide in their list of modifications so I tried a quote as a tester with great expectations. Was only able to put the one modification on so nitrous it was as that's gonna be the decider....quote??? £2081!!!!!!!!

I'm 44 with 9 years plus NCB (20+ if they could count past 9!!) driving a tiny little Ford Puma for pleasure only. What are these companies playing at??? :tard:

Tried Greenlight but in the T&C's they don't insure total loss/write off's and mine is a Cat C which I think rules it out on those grounds.

God only knows what my current insurer (AF) come back with. If it's not too good then nitrous may be getting ditched for a MUCH more powerfull STANDARD car which will cost MUCH less in insurance. :beatstick:

Just got a call from Swinton and she actually agreed it was a silly quote then tried to sell me personal accident cover to which she got a reply about how I thought it was disgraceful that they were trying to sell me something to encourage people to claim for injuries that clearly no one had in most cases, which would inturn cost THEM money and increase OUR premiums. :beatstick:
She even admitted that if anyone crashed into her she would claim and couldn't understand why I wouldn't.....principles sweetheart!!! :tard:

After our recent efforts to get a number of companies interested and offering cover to OUR CUSTOMERS, you 'should' be able to get a decent quote from one of them!!!

Just make sure you mention OUR NAME and don't just use the term NOS.
