Evening folks,

Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

I have a Wideband 2 which I've been using for some time now with no issues, nice bit of kit and has been feeding an Emerald ECU reliably. I managed to finally source the necessary cable to allow me to run the data output and the gauge so thought I'd fit that tonight. Before doing so I noticed that the usually red LED on the controller was blank, upon checking the software for the Emerald it is only reading 10.9 AFR so doesn't appear to be working. Plugging the gauge in instead of the data output also reads the same 10.9.

Any ideas at all please?

Thanks.

If you suspect that the gauge is somehow faulty, contact the manufacturer and ask them about the issue. They may also be able to repair it for you. It would be worth it to avoid possibly hurting an engine.

Thanks, I did, around the same time as posting this

They got back to me with a few tests which narrowed it down to a power issue after adding the gauge. There was just enough to run the wideband on it's own feeding the ECU but as soon as the gauge was added it couldn't quite cope. Some rewiring later and all is well again :D

New uprated fuel pump going in today and upping the nitrous to a 50 shot to do some testing and then 75 during the week hopefully

Awesome to hear! Sometimes the smallest thing cause the biggest headaches!

Why such an arbitrary number like 75? How about 80 instead?

75 at the moment as it's supercharged and as there were only a handful ever converted we're not entirely sure where the limit of the pistons are

I have another build which is fully forged so will be going for bigger numbers on that when I get there ;)

250-300bhp in an MGF is plenty enough for now
