Hi :)

Thats REALLY cheap :)

BUT..as a refiller myself just for locals and not for profit , I can foresee a problem...

The problem is what happens when you get extremely popular as a reseller which you WILL AT THAT PRICE...

When you are filling maybe 5 or 10 people a day for no profit ???

Think of the time involved in filling 5 bottles a day....

All that time for basically no profit....not a good business idea....

All the best Brett :)

Post subject:  Re: Nitrous Refills

I know if I did it then it would be to help pay for the costs of rental/delivery/my gas, and would be a benefit to me as I'd have plenty of gas at hand for personal use.

If I could get 6 people a week wanting a refill then £5 a lb would be more than viable to make it worthwhile as at a rough estimate based on selling 66 lb out of a bottle (which I believe holds 82.5 lb if totally full) I would get a free refill for myself out of each bottle making 77 lb per bottle, lets say the bottle wasn't totally full or I couldn't squeeze the last few out - I'm sure some people will now what the score is on that front but going by them calculations it'd still make around £1000 profit in the first year which would pay for the refilling kit.

Any more people wanting gas would mean more free gas for me or me being able to sell it even cheaper. The thought of getting a free fill every week is a good one but I doubt I could get 6 people a week never mind 35-70 (5-10 a day)

I'm sure if you were using enough to supply 5-10 a day you'd be getting a much better price off the suppliers too as you'd be asking for 250-500 bottles a year  ...lol.

Nice one!. Keep us updated as if the price is as keen as my current supplier I'll be looking for a more reliable source.

FYI I got a quote the other day and iirc it was £235+vat, £85+vat for bottle rental for a year, and £20+vat for delivery when the lorry was doing it's rounds. That was from Blended Products. I haven't got into it any further but I'm sure there is room for negotiations.

At that price I'm not sure it's worth the investment for me personally unless I had a steady supply of customers wanting refills as it works out much cheaper per/lb the more bottles used.

Ragerover..... Email sent mate : )

Yippee..lol Did you manage to get a bottle from blended products?

Post subject:  Re: Nitrous Refills

No...as per my reply above, I didn't see it as a viable option at the time for the amount I use personally. Plus I can't get an exact answer as to how much nitrous can be extracted from a full bottle when transferring without a pump refilling kit. In fact I'm actually having trouble finding out how much is in a full bottle to start with.

As it stood when I first posted I was able to get my refill's locally for £5.50 which meant I would have to get at least 74lb out of a big bottle - assuming I only bought one a year - to break even. My refiller's price went up recently to £6 which means I now need to get 68lb to break even - assuming the big bottle remains at the same price. I'm still not 100% sure that even that amount is achievable from a bottle.

The other problem is me being a little resistant about getting a big bottle as that would be like leaving a child in a sweet shop to do as they please....lol.

Hi :)

A big botlle is "meant" to hold 82.5 lbs...in THEORY...

In practice, I have NEVER got 82.5 out of mine...roughly speaking you will get somewhere BETWEEN 70 and 80 lbs...

All the best Brett :)
