Does anyone know of any reliable refillers in Lancashire or Manchester? I live near Blackburn and know Yorkshire isn't too far from me but would be better if I didn't have to travel too great a distance for a refill.

I have heard of a refiller in Rochdale who I'll call and speak with soon.

Thanks guys

Acceleration services in Rochdale is the only place i know of that's local ish that does refills. Not a bad price either compared with some places  ;)

This is getting tough down south.
Only 1 in Surrey (and wouldn't trust them to fill a bottle of water)
None in Sussex.
Southampton Hampshire is +80 miles away, Kent and Essex ditto.
I can find fitters, but NOT refil stations.
Their common story is the costs and hastle of bottle rental.
Thank god a work mate lives 10 miles from WON HQ.

Hi Richard :)

If you go near Southampton...I am only 20 miles further on in Bournemouth and will always fill you from my big bottle if it helps....

All the best Brett :)

Kind offer Brett, but I'm trying to keep travelling to a minimum, I'm even considering courier service to http://www.nitrousoxidesupplies.co.uk/.
They quote £63 for an 11lbs refil, I'll give them a try and see how much actually ends up in the bottle :D

I will give acceleration services a call asap, what do they share per lb? Also are they reliable refillers? Heard some don't fill bottles fully

no bottle will ever completely fill due to the compressed gas involved in the process.
On an 11lbs bottle you will always be at least 1-2 lbs down, and thats on a good day.
Hence I need 2

They charge between £45-£50 for an 11Lb bottle. The fill level seems to depend on how much time you give them....drop the bottle off and go shopping for an hour and it'll be full  ;)

Theres none left in essex/london that are happy filling the small bike won bottles :-( regardless of what they tell you the reality is not same even when i take me own adaptor , for some reason they want to do it using PSI not weight altho they happy to fill me Dot USA bottle

so next season will have to share a big 88lb bottle or buy lots of fire extinguihsers and get some one with a car to fill them for me or just reconsider if nitrous is viable any more :-(

either way seams nitrous now becoming harder to find than rocking horse shit :-(

and call me paronid but seams they all happy to fill usa bottles but not won for what ever reason , regardless of what legal or not

PS

as this is now the biggest problem with nitrous and getting bigger , maybe its time WON steped in and sorted a deal with Nitrous oxide supplies , Maybe a dealer rate or the deposit remove for 1 customer per county or a free refill system to help out others after all dont matter how good a system is if ya cant fill a bottle it all a pointless task bit like building a petrol car when all the oil wells have dried up :?

Brett thats cool  and great for users and a good price and i know form ya post ya have coved a few fucked up refills due to crap bottle and i respect you for that

but maybe in places doted around uk we could have won bottle holders , ie big **** off bottles thats are supplied and stored for won , no profit to person storing it and none to won oki not directly i ment on supply of bulk , yet its suppled at an agreed rate per lbs and this is paid to won , you pay £6 an lb via web site got to an address he chill and fill job done , and yes holder of the refilling staion pays same
.
just an idea becuse if it not sorted soon we all may as well run turbos

or alternative is Nitrous is a waste as no one fill bottles , or ya travel and cover cost ect for buzz and £ per bhp then becomes and expensive hobbie for 1 weekend a year

brett i still belive Increase accessibility and availability and market grows , oki no proffit on out set or out lay , but with usage the profitt is in built

OKI something you may relate to , a site almost unknowen listed a torrent for the WGA (windows gen advantage crap) patch for xp and windows 7 and it worked I mean 100% FFS there hits on site are off scale

want to keep won we need to find nitrous refillers or trusted members , and there refiller map is so out of date it pointless picking up phone

Just spoken to http://www.nitrousoxidesupplies.co.uk/ and I'm seriously considering the 50ltr bottle.
Just gotta run it by the boss

£235 for refil (1 xmas special @ £150)
£80 pa rental
£20 delivery

all +vat

works out at £4.92 per lbs with all of the above

I just need a stand, some pipe work and Surrey may be in business.

or refil by courier for 11lbs bottle is now £71.25 (£6.50 per lbs)

Rich!
Get a big bottle with a dip tube. Then it just stands the right way up. You will get a bit left in it though. Dont forget you can get bottles filled at Torque of the Devil in Uxbridge. They have done about 9 refills for me in the last 2 months or so.
They dont advertise as nitrous re fillers, but if you ring and let them know you are coming they are very accomodating. I have not bothered getting a big bottle this year as Moo got one. So he's my refill bitch at the moment

By the way Moo!!
Me and the boys will be at yours around 11.30am the morra. I need two 11 lb bottle filled while I'm with you.
I have a nice box of rubber gloves and a box of rags for you as well. Will Claire and Sam be home?? Have you got a the bacon and rolls / crusty bread in yet???

Just a point for those thinking of or actually doing refills at home, whatever ya do, make sure your home insurance company are aware of large nitrous cylinders etc being kept on premises. Should the worst happen and ya garage has a fire and a gas bottle has been leaking and an explosion occurs or whatever, you'd want to be covered!!
Am guessing insurance is possibly one of the reasons there are less refillers out there, problem is, as a business, it has to be worthwhile doing, and compared to cars with aftermaket wheels and big bore exhausts and whatever else equates to the modern day furry dice than there probably ever will be running nitrous, so as a business, do you go to the expense of extra insurance cover, cylinder rental, refill rig and the time to do it, when theres far more money to be made outta spotty oiks and chav bling for their motor (undoubtedly covered in NOS stickers and the like).
As a racer, I'm quite fortunate in that i can get a refill every time i need one, as at race meets, motorshack are always there to oblige, and having a performance parts bike shop just down the road who also do it.
I think there's still a long way to go in amount of users, before you will be able to get refills in every town. If there were as many nitrous users as there are anglers then there'd be no probs at all, and possibly the reason there arent that many is purely because of needing refills coz any self respecting oik has a turbo powered car with chipped ecu etc, so its not the initial cost stopping them!!

Steve

I think I will use them as they're not too far and that's not a bad price. When I'm in Doncaster to see mates I might pop into WON HQ! Oh and good news, I might have sold my entire USA nitrous kit and will be replacing with a full WON 11lb kit soon!

Does the quality of nitrous vary from refiller to refiller? Also does nitrous deteriorate over time if unused and left in a bottle? Thanks

They are the closest I have found that can fill a WON cylinder. Costs £5/lb, complete fill every time and have been spot on so far :)

Awesome I will keep them in mind. I have heard there is a refiler in Blackburn (according to Nitrous Oxide Supplies) called Rocket's Car Repairs but I have never heard of them!
