Hi :)

I keep thinking about a filling station but I dont want to spend hundreds....

I cannot find the WON one on main site...anyone know how much they are ?

Also as I do not have an air compressor anymore are they electric ?

All the best Brett :)

Pump stations are £459 and you need a compressor.

Having had a few nightmares finding refills and sometimes not getting full bottles im considering investing in renting an 88lb bottle and buying a pump and compressor.
I wouldnt save any money on the gas but it would save me time and hassle.
I am thinking of also filling other peoples bottles in South Cumbria as there is nowhere near that does it.
Would there also be an interest for people to get refills off me at the strip (mainly York) or does somebody already do this?

Hi :)

In order....lol

Its an 82 lb big bottle :) From Nitrous Oxide supplies....reasonable money...It will save you money as its about half the retail cost...

The pump and compressor are SERIOUS MONEY :(

All strips usually have someone who sells Nitrous...

Hope this helps :)

All the best Brett :)

York only rarely has someone there with a supply these days.
I was quoted £243 + 94 + 18 for the gas and a years bottle hire and delivery = £355.
This equates to about £4.30 / lb with 7 fills/year.
Substantial savings would only be made if i could supply enough people to warrant 3 or 4 bottles per annum.
A second hand compressor can be picked up for a fair price but as you say the pump is the stinger.

Barrow in furness is a bit out on a limb, but i'd be interested in bottle fills at York :)

I don't get chance to that many rwyb's over a year but i've never seen anyone doing n20 fills at york  so that would be very handy for quite a few people i would think

I managed without a pump for the best part of 25 years, because it's no problem in most circumstances to fill by gravity feed.

AUTO XTREME POWER keeps going to voicemail after a few rings

DAYTUM PERFORMANCE is now borough parking enforcement, been so for about a year now!

DYNO SPEED DEVS dont do refills anymore..

im still trying to find somewhere within a reasonable distance to me for refills as 25miles to totd is a bit ott and id rather just use them as my last alternative.

Yes i now carry adaptor with me under bike seat , very handy as can then get refills anywhere and at track side if needed

Think this adaptor should be added to the shop save a lot of time when ya walk into a shop with the fitting in place and say please fill 8) 8)

resons a lot of shops dont carry the adaptors is they sulk all time as WON is the better kit and they make shit loads more money selling the usa crap

I'm starting to wonder if it isn't easier to drive up to doncaster for fill up. went to an agent on friday(listed here) in solihull, took all day and 2 visits to sort as they'd lent someone their pump, then they could only fit 7lbs in 11lb bottle and it gets better! you won't believe the price..... £7 perlb. it would have been cheaper and easier to drive up to WON and they can fill part full bottles no prob.

 Nige

Hi all.

My name is murray and have recently had a WON kit fitted to my MG ZS. Am very new to the nitrous scene but this site looks like it's going to educate me.

The reason i've posted on this thread first is really for the attention of Brett seeing as he's based in Dorset. I am currently posted in Lulworth with the armed forces and am looking for somewhere to get my bottles refilled nearby and with him being in Bournmouth just down the road i thought it would be ideal.

Anyway if theres anywhere else available if you can't do Brett then that would be great.

Also is there anywhere to post pics of peoples cars.

Cheers murray

Hi All :)

Interesting evening to say the least lol...

Murray arrived to fill his WON 11 lb bottle.....

Started filling it and went to move the bottle on the scales and didn't realise quite how sharp an angle that was forcing the 82 lb bottle end into.....roughly 90 degrees lol....

Huge bang and as BOTH valves were open on his 11 lb bottle and my 82 lb bottle....

Garage fills with gas in a huge amount of white Nitrous vapour....

We had both dived out side...but I suddenly realised that I was about to lose a full 82 lb bottle...

So I put back on my Snap-On gloves, took a deep breath and dived back in....

Found both valves and turned them off, although that wants quite as easy as it sounds as I could see absolutely nothing...

Nitrous cleared quickly and found the 90 degree broken pipe...then found I had no olives in 5 mm...all at work I think...

So lent Murray one of my spare 11 lb bottles that was already full and off he went...happily I hope.....

As I said it was an interesting evening lol.....

So tomorrow I will be making a new pipe in 5 mm with my trusty WON pipe cutter and new 5 mm olives and new pipe :)

I would guess I lost maybe 10 to 20 lbs from my big bottle, but thats better then 82 ...

All the best Brett :)
