I'm very happy to announce a new member of the Noscraft family of fun-mobiles: the Goped Super Go-Quad with the SFBK system! AKA: the SUPER GAS-QUAD!!!

This machine weighs about 40 lbs and is powered by a 46cc, 4.5 bhp, 2 stroke engine and it's already a monster to drive: now it's ENHANCED WITH WoN NITROUS!!!

We all know that the system is capable of up to 50 hp, but we'll be using a fraction of that for nitrous newcomers wanting to experience what the difference between all-motor and nitrous is like. We'll start with 2.5 bhp jets and work our way up to 5, once the customer is comfortable enough. FURTHERMORE, it's also equipped with a MiniMax to demonstrate how we can manipulate how the power comes on for ultimate user control!

It's the perfect way to share the experience of high performance in a small scale package. It's also completely portable for transport to any location for customers who can't come to us.

Testing new gearing on motor only... I hit almost 41 mph in a short test area. The brakes couldn't keep up and ended up melting, so no nitrous until that is uprated!

Acceleration wasn't bad it was pretty smooth, but needs to pull HARD and only the SFBK will do that!

Finished the toughest part of my brake upgrade: the wheel and disk.

There is no upgrade kit to do this so I had to fashion it using a billet aluminium wheel and machined the drive hub holes as well as the mount holes for the disk. All that is left is to mount and rig the caliper and test!

Parts came in... looking good. I brought the disk closer to the wheel so increases cable slack and it doesn't look so awkward. It actually is looking quite good, but what really counts is the stopping power!

It needs mounts to be welded and final bolting and assembly, then it's testing time!

the caliper/disc looks very powerful for the size of the wheel/weight of the kart...

It will hopefully stop this beast repeatedly without much effort. Remember. we're shootin for 50+ mph.

will it just have the one disc brake on the front ? and then one brake on the back on the opposite corner, to stop it pulling to 1 side ?

It's a full rear axle, both wheels drive and brake. I wouldn't bother with a one-wheel wonder.

Ive never seen that type of kart before, in the uk karting is quite popular, but ours are the bigger type... I know you have the bigger ones too in the u.s.a as ive seen videos...

i saw a video of someone in the u.s.a who had already put nitrous on your type of kart, but it was a right bodge up, using those little ice cream canister things

I noticed on their video the kart is only 1 wheel drive...

Yea this is a unique kart made only by Go-Ped. There are racing leagues for them all over the world, they just aren't as well-known as the bigger karts. I like this one because it is small enough to be carried in the boot of a small car, although that's not the case anymore because the pipe makes it impossible to fit anymore LOL.

A crappy 5 second burst and even then the carb has to be jetted extra rich, robbing of all motor power. I have seen one with full wet kit from NX and had all the long, big braided hoses with the big nozzle jammed into the intake manifold. It wasn't a good kit, but I think they got away with it by using a smallish hit. Probably a lean ass hit with a rich ass top end.At least my SFBK system uses high octane propane and is properly sized for the vehicle.

I noticed on their video the kart is only 1 wheel drive...

The first-generation was that way with the spindle drive. I could've bought that type but again, the limits would have been the size of the spindle, no auto clutch, and one-wheel drive. The power would kill tires and jerk the kart in one direction. Since this kart is intended for newbies to try nitrous, it wouldn't be a good idea to have them slam into a wall on the hit nor require special skills to operate.

no... not the best sales strategy, kill them before they have brought the product :omgrofl:

Works on the bench and some slight decline testing with my weight. It locks up the axle pretty well and good gradual braking.

All it needs is some full testing with the motor and some paint. 8)

Here's the progress video: https://youtu.be/xDEGunbdQH8

In advance, the test run was a success. I noticed the amount of heat that the disc had to dissipate from repeated stops from 40+ mph, it's no wonder why the rubber brakes melted so easily!

you could always grind the welds smooth and put a coat of paint on the support bar, if aesthetics is a worry

I need to step down on the gearing because the kart is just too fast and the braking is limited. Bringing down the gearing will improve the acceleration with less power, which makes it more practical. I can still up the power if need be.
