If anything, how about an electric pump that could dead end to a pulsoid with alcohol and feed the engine with an atomizing nozzle similar to a direct port race setup?

I'm pretty sure I have all the parts readily available to make such a product that would be simple, compact & cheap.

YES!!!! LET'S DO IT!

I'm gonna have to get an attorney to draw up my will.

OR get a go-kart that this engine will fit on...

Let me know what you come up with via email and we can get that ball rolling... I'm excited to make further progress with this beast!

I'll try and get it sorted by the end of the week and I'll do it at no charge.

I like to come up with new ideas when they are needed and see how they work out and I'm also happy to make a major contribution to cover the cost of turning those ideas into a new and/or improved product.

Looks like we're back in action with the goped! I tried the static test with the thinner pipe and it worked pretty well! The engine would still stall if I let it return to idle too quickly but at the very least, I can blip the throttle so that it stays running on it's own.

Unfortunately, I didn't get any video of the tests because I had the phone in the wrong setting so it only took a lousy picture. Oh well, I'll save it all for a good vid!

Edit: Previous post was biased due to technical issues with the SFBK giving erroneous nitrous/fuel mixtures. This was due to another clog of the fuel AND the nitrous side which allowed only a SMALL amount of nitrous into the engine and giving the previous results.

With all tech issues resolved, I did another battery of tests with the system and the new pipe. The engine DOES NOT like the over-rich mixtures that bring down nitrous power, 2.5 hp for example. The only option that made it rideable and SCARY AS ALL HELL is the 5 hp jetting at a 2:1 ratio. The 1:1 and 1.5:1 ratios just stalled out the engine, while the 2:1 would work well. Unfortunately, the stalling issue is still present upon deactivation and more tests need to be done to try and solve that issue.

The good news is that THIS THING RIPS!!!! As long as I keep the button held, the scoot just accelerates, accelerates, accelerates!!!

I bet that this thing will top 45 MPH easily and that's with the exhaust STILL restricted through the frame! No joke! Without the juice, this scoot won't move for shit but as soon as I hit the trigger, the front jerks up into the air and it just PULLS!

I can't wait to get all of the bugs worked out and get some speed runs in... all on a mere 5 hp of the giggle gas!

P.S.

The results today reflect on one of Trev's stories about his drag bike versus some japanese race bike and that he took off in 3rd gear or something, while on the gas, and nearly won the race!

New setup yet AGAIN!

It will work this time because I tested the concept earlier with a static test (that was failing miserably prior to this mod), and even with sustained activation of the system, the engine did not stall.

After another failed attempt, I finally figured out a fix (aside from Trev developing some REAL parts for this beast). Simply put, I needed to find a way to make the fuel jet flow much less than 5 hp (because even with a 10 nitrous jet, the engine was WAY TOO RICH). Since the smallest jet able to be made is 5, I had to somehow create a supplemental restriction of flow so that the nitrous/fuel ratio was stable enough to keep the engine happy.

All I did was melt the pipe closed (at the jet holder end) and then poked it with a small needle after it cooled.

I just finished going on a test ride with the 5N;5F combo and it performed FLAWLESSLY without killing the engine on deactivation or sustained use. Acceleration seemed endless and smooth, and also I managed to hold the button for 10 full seconds (a record since the engine swap).

I can't wait for the new parts to arrive to have a legitimate small engine application with SFBK nitrous kits!

My baby is fitted for 3.75 hp hit [7.5N:5F] after a series successful 2.5 test hits (5N:5F). With most of the issues ironed out, I will be shooting for the 5 hp hit (10N:5F) before the bottle empties (as once the bottle is disturbed is when I'll have issues, all of which will be resolved permanently soon). Most of my issues are nitrous flow related, which is why I've had so many problems being over rich. All fuel issues have been resolved with the new HIGHER QUALITY butane can adapter: the old one had poor design and had disintegrating rubber seals that clogged my fuel jet.

Here she is, ready for battle:

We've already redesigned the valve stem and should have replacement alternatives available soon.

Also while talking about valves, can you get hold of a basic adaptor or blanking plug for the big bottle valve, as it looks like the large thread is not something we'll be able to get hold of over here. If you can get something that say takes that big thread and has a 4AN thread on the other end or any 'basic' thread, we should be able to connect to it.

Yes, I have a standard -4 AN bottle valve adapter that is practically standard on all U.S. nitrous kits fits the mother bottle perfectly.

BTW, I tried calling today but my international calls don't go through despite adding an international calling plan! I also sent an enquiry to the web dev for your site.

Excellent, as we can work with that easily enough. ;)

Just to be sure, is that a 4 or 6 AN fitting, I'm estimating it to be 4 AN?

Well there was barely a drop left in the bottle to get in a good run, but it made for a fun video nonetheless! :albino:

Ok guys, it's official... fitting a 5 hp hit of nitrous on a small 2 stroke scooter is a BAD IDEA!

The 5 hp hit just lifts the front end like nothing, and at one point it threw me completely off the scooter!

So I reduced the jetting to 2.5 and it STILL RIPPED HARD!!!

The power is sufficient enough to go 50 mph EASY if I had the right sized spindle, which will have to be custom made.

Goped Trial Run Video
