 Post subject: Got me some new half shafts :)

Location: Bucks
To save me having to faff around fitting a big rear axle I got my old shafts copied in a much better material by Moser in the USA :)

When i find my camera I'll get some pics. :D :D

£220.00 each delivered to the boot of my car at the Pod :)

Should be able to get them cheaper next time as Moser will have saved the info. So other MG owners may benefit.

But they are made from the same stuff that proper drag shafts are made from and they are 3mm bigger in diameter at the diff end which will add a shed load more strength anyway.

The old MG shafts tapered down from the spider gear splines for some reason??
Basically the old shafts are cappy cast items that hev been machined. I put one in lie centres on the lathe and although the splined ends were concentric. The big bit in between was all over the place :rofl:

I'll be happy if the diff beaks cos I'll know th shafts are a lot better :rofl:
