I have a mate who wants to convert his BBC to injection and wants to do it more cheaply than the $4k required for an Edelbrock setup.
It's in a Scarab (Miami Vice/Columbian Drug Runner Boat) and he's more concenrned with fuel economy than outright power.
I need to know what the cheapest way to do this is and anything to look out for.
I've started looking at throttle bodies/manifold upgrades already but would modifying the std inlet manifold with injector bosses be better?
Also, it is salt water cooled so AFR Meter tuning is out.
