 what's the story Perry, a cock up or back to the drawing board :?

Ian

Just done CR test and all is good except no 6. It has pressure but only 80psi and I can hear air hissing back into the inlet manifold. So inlet valve burnt / not seating for some reason.

Jason is out there now pulling the head off.

Should know more tomorrow. Good 'ole Rover V8 eh. Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'

Nice one Pel and Jason's a star too, cos he saved the day for me also by finding my dropped 150 jet

Jason was showing off last night..
He used the stop watch on his phone!

I went out after a dump and a cuppa and the head was off and in the garage. He was pulling the valve out as I walked into the garage and he picked up his phone to stop the clock.

He handed me the leaky valve and his phone. The stopwatch time said 34mins and 44 seconds.
This is how long it took him to remove the head on my V8 and pull the valve out for me to inspect??

That aint bad going for a 22 year old is it..

Thats why he is Crew Chief / Main Pit Bitch

I just fell off my chair, check last Sundays results.
Had we time for that last run on the 150 jets, I might have made 1st place (street legal)

So I was nearly 2 seconds quicker than the first place guy with a shut down just after the 1/8th

Time to save up for Sporstman tyres I reckon??

See Rich!
If you hadnt spent so much time in the Grandstand arguing with me about being arsed to fit the bigger jets, and had not dropped the Jet and thrown a hissy fit. You would have been right at the front of the queue as you were at least 15 mins sooner before they rained us off.

Not wanting to wind you up or anything mate  :beatstick:

You out next Sunday??

Its another public track day / RWYB. And the following Sunday as well. This is mental for the Pod 3 RWYB's in Jan??

Why dont you see if you can pop over and say hello? You dont have to race if you dont want to. just pay a tenner to get in and come chat to us..

Sweet. It is very tempting :D How busy is it this time of year normally? Just wondering if funds will allow me to race or not :bounce:

Subject to me nailing the diff back together tomorrow and the rain staying away on Sunday I may pop down with the Capri.......will probably be lunchtime before I get there though!

Perry, quick question.......what size rims and tyres are you running out back?

Looks great, Richard. Your PB is in danger of getting smashed. Bit more heat in the rear tyres would be great. That or dodge the water if possible.
Do you hold it on the brakes for a launch? Not driven an auto up there and curious.

Difficult to avoid the water, as they always have a damp patch there.
Its almost impossible to do a burnout in my 840, as there is some kind of engine management that cuts the engine as I apply the brakes to hold it still in a burnout :( and yet I am able to hold it at 1500/2000 prior to launch

Can you fit a line lock on the fronts? Would enable you to come off the brakes.

Nice idea, but I used to think I had a LSD until I saw my video on sunday, so no point now :-(
