soz just spotted this, but sounds ok "i think" . to work as a boost lag elimination device you need to also fit a simple pressure switch, (a cheap one would be an old oil pressure type switch), that switches the Nitrous off as soon as it sees say 2/3 of your normal boost level. Say 8 to 10 PSI. |

Hi teddy,no more trouble making you! I think plenty of people use nitrous as an anti lag device, just as you say turning it off when you've got enough boost.I think you'll need a sensitive and adjustable switch though.Trev'll have one available. Interesting that you've got a bit of lag,a bigger turbo wouldn't be much use to you then would it????? |

Yes I know Burgerman and while he's a decent enough guy I wouldn't act on any of his advice unless we confirm it to be OK, because he has a less than 'cautious' attitude to even the most extreme danger. Yes you can have the system supplied with ANY size jet up to 25 hp initially and then after that in steps of no more than 25 hp increments - this is my 'cautious' and professional attitude shining through, that is one of the reasons we have such an impeccable reliability record. You could try the cheap switch option first (that MIGHT work), but our switch is very accurate and fully adjustable and not overly expensive, so that's what I'd use. |

you know mike i dont feel much waiting for spooling to be truthful...but its my way of getting the nitrous kit without worrying about propane and stuff just yet ..maybe i wont feel any difference i mean can the ecu adjust the fueling a little bit when it feels all that extra oxygen coming in ..im still a WON baby but its great fun learning |

Even on TDIs that can't deliver any extra fuel we do get a 'small' improvement in acceleration times. Here's another thought for you Ted, most/some cars have intake temp sensors and when they register a low reading the ECU puts more fuel in. We've rigged up bypass circuits which have switched in a fixed value to fool the ECU in to adding more fuel on some vehicles and on others just spraying the nitrous in the vicinity of the transducer has worked, so you might like to have a little play along those lines. |
