Cecil Towner was our first customer to break IN TO the 6 second bracket but our German customer/agent (Meran from EPC Sittard), has become the first to break out of the 6s in to the 5s on a SCOOTER!!!!

Although most people won't appreciate it, Meran's 5.93 run is an even bigger achievement, as the motor is much smaller and far more fragile.

The parallels between the 2 achievements are as close as they get;

1) Both had used US brand kits and suffered NUMEROUS engine failures

2) While so doing neither of them achieved a great deal

3) Both switched to WON and have not looked back

4) Since making the switch BOTH have DESTROYED impossible barriers and set record after record

5) Both have done so with unparalleled RELIABILITY and saved substantial amounts of money in the process

6) Neither would switch to ANY other brand from WON no matter how much you offered them

Now Meran's own results are impressive enough (especially as is obvious from the video, it wasn't a clean run) but just to put the issue beyond doubt, one of his customers has just joined him in the 5 second bracket, to become the ONLY TWO scooters to have done so.

Just like Meran his customer suffered NUMEROUSengine failures while using US NOS brand kits but once again that's all changed since he switched to WON. :twisted:

For those of you in disbelief that scooters could run quicker times than Cecil's Busa's - I should point out that these runs are over just 150 meters. ;)

Hi Sergey;

They are both using one of our StreetBlaster 25s and a Max Extreme on at least one of them (if not both);

http://www.noswizard.com/index.php/bike ... s-kit.html

Preventing racers wrecking their engines (using US brand kits) and assisting them to make world records instead is becoming a habit of ours. :yes:

You'd better post that in Russian as the translation doesn't work well for me.

I'll get engine details for you ASAP.

Трев, я хотел сказать что вариатор скутера нуждается в доработке ,если не сказать больше.

i think this is a fantastic achievement. to add nitrous to top fuel drag cars is one thing but to tiny 2 strokes just shows how brilliant the WON delivery is.

The translation is;
Trev, I would like to say that the CVT scooter needs work, if not more.

I'm sure there is plenty more they can do to improve and no doubt they will run even quicker time in future as they progress.

Ok. I think you understand, I used only the fuel, but this result is better.

Yes I understood and no doubt your result was good on petrol alone but without being in direct competition, there's no way of comparing the 2 results, even if we wanted to. ;)

At one end of the scale I have customers with 10cc engines and at the other I have one with OVER 800 CUBIC INCHES, so I'm in a pretty UNIQUE position to have such a wide range of experience and knowledge. With that said you are entirely correct that it is FAR GREATER achievement to produce such outstanding results from such a relatively fragile small capacity 2 stroke, than to do so with a mountain motor.

Admittedly they both have their difficulties but the bigger the motor the stronger the parts can be and besides that 2 strokes are REKNOWNED for siezing even with NA use so to achieve RELIABLE results at SUCH ELEVATED power levels, is SERIOUSLY IMPRESSIVE.

Just a shame the majority of the guys with the big motors fail to appreciate that.
:evil:

Here's some further details from the customer himself;

We drive 150 meter and the times include the reaction times, but the lights work different.

The official results are on this page;

http://www.stichtingsbo.nl

but this site is under maintenance and the times are not visible just now.

Here you see old records 2010 6.17 but that is set lower many times after 2010;

http://www.stichtingsbo.nl/informatie/Records/

These are the times of the last German race, Henk van den Heuvel drive 5.94 with 100cc engine with WON system;

http://www.dssc.de/results_race_overvie ... 7797836804

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My bike weights around 45-48 kg with wheeliebar, fuel, water. ready to drive, driver weight around 65 kg with protection.
Horsepower we measure on a Tovami dyno.
Horsepower with nitrous around 40-42 hp, without nitrous 26-28 hp

Set up of the engine;

Malossi cylinder and crankshaft, both reworked to get from a 70cc ( bore 47.6 x 39.3 stroke ) to a 89.9 cc engine ( 50 x 45.8 ) or my new cylinder 52mm ( testfase ) Malossi Big Bore exhaust.
28mm Keihin Carburator
Self made reedvalve
HPI digital Ignition
complete Polini evolution transmision

On GPS datalogging we go in 2.9 sec to 100 km/h, endspeed ( 150 meter ) around 140 km/h
