The head gasket is stamped steel. Normally I take an old gasket and coat it on both sides with copper spray gasket sealer. Never had a problem. But since this motor is almost all new I bought all new gaskets.

I finished making all the tools to measure camshaft center line. Since the 250 ninja is a beginners bike. The engine is set up for smooth bottom end power.

That is not what I need. So now I have widened the cam centerline. This and a 6mm over bore. The cylinder head is ported . The combustion chamber and piston are polished. I am going to put covers on it and start it soon.

There isn't going to be a better or faster one in the world Eric.

Just a shame you don't live nearby as I have some experimental work I need to do, which you and your bike would be ideal for.

The " other" 250 ninja I built has Fuel injection. That might be a better candidate for experiments.
